I have never left a review for anything before, but I would highly recommend Puentes Homeschool to all of my friends. We love how personalized it is and that the class goes at our pace. And the teachers- love them! My kids look forward to seeing them and having class. Also, homeschooling is not cheap, so I really appreciate how affordable the classes are. Chelsie Reading, mother to Abby (14), Oliver (13), and Everett (11)
"Puentes Homeschool Spanish has quickly become the favorite class of the week. Erika is a knowledgeable teacher, patient, encouraging and quick to respond over WhatsApp. The instruction takes place over Zoom which allows persons in other time zones to take class together. I would highly recommend Puentes to families or co-ops looking for a great immersion Spanish class." Carmen Anglin, mother to Nathan (15)

Heather Meatyard, Missionary
"I am learning Spanish faster than I thought I would! I like that the teachers and staff treat you like family. I enjoy the ways that they teach us. I have really actually enjoyed learning Spanish, and it really helps you with communicating in a different country." Gabe Meatyard, M.K. (16)
"I personally really enjoy going to the language school. Everyone there is so welcoming and friendly. I think that all of the teachers are great. They are so patient when you get frustrated. They also push you to do your best. I feel like the Institute is a great environment and they treat everyone like family." Kennsey Meatyard, M.K. (17)
"The Spanish Institute of Honduras is an excellent language school. My beginning knowledge of Spanish was no more than “hola.” After 4 months total, thanks to the hard work of my excellent teachers, I left at the level of intermediate high. The community is supportive, the environment is well-suited for accelerated learning, and the owners/administrators are kind, and watchful. Teachers tailor the classes to your learning style and needs, in an encouraging, fun-loving atmosphere. I highly recommend this school." Lauren Hiles, Former Student
"Attending this school is like receiving a family alongside the great education. Loving. experienced teachers, and owners that are involved and care about each student. I have been blessed to attended the Spanish Institute several different blocks of time and I wouldn't trade this school and the blessing it has been for ANY other school here in Honduras! Holly Tompkins, Nurse of Children's Center and Serve Team Assistant
"The Spanish Institute of Honduras was exactly what we needed! Talented teachers that provided measurable and structured learning but in an environment that felt comfortable and supportive. It’s so much more than just learning a language, it’s learning about people and a culture and the way they think." Don & Debbie Lynn, Missionaries in Honduras
"We owe so much of the “success” we’ve had in our ministry and as a family to our time at The Institute. I can’t begin to explain how thankful we are for our teachers, their patience, and the way they dove in and went above and beyond. Knowing that we would take in children from the streets, our teachers specialized in vocabulary and language styles that we would encounter. The community at The Institute (teachers, staff, and students) embraced us and helped us transition to a new culture and go through culture shock, overcome so many obstacles, grow in Christ, and learn to disciple others in a new language. We cannot say enough how grateful we are and how highly we recommend this amazing learning environment." Alishia & Christopher Weeks, Missionaries in Honduras
I moved to Honduras to work with a missions organization and language school was the first step. As I began learning the language and culture, I quickly realized this was the most vital step in the journey of connecting with the girls I worked with. I believe that without communication there cannot be the deep connection, friendship, and thus influence. Learning a new language is challenging for sure, but the process was made to be engaging, enjoyable, and rewarding. The teachers truly invest not only their time and effort, but also their lives into you as a student. It's not just students, teachers, and staff; it's a family. Jamie Ortmann, Missionary in Honduras
"Our time at The Institute was one of the best investments we have made. Not only were we given quality instruction but we learned Honduran culture and were cared for like family." Charity & Brian Scott, Missionaries in Honduras
"One of the highlights of my week is my Spanish class at the Spanish Institute of Honduras every weekend. My lessons have enabled me to not only work here but also to enjoy Honduras with its beautiful people and culture! Love, laughter, and learning are a part of every lesson in a beautiful setting with the most excellent instructors!! The experience is truly a special gift from God!" Kathy Burma, English Teacher
"Language school was one of the biggest blessings during my trip. I loved that the teachers take time to get to know their students and that it feels more like a friendship rather than an in-the-classroom-boring-learning. It is refreshing to be able to learn Spanish in whatever way is best for the individual; the teachers really work to find out what is the best way for you to learn. My Spanish improved so much through this school. It also was great to be able to discuss how to share the Gospel in Spanish and be able to read bible stories and discuss them in Spanish because that prepared me for what I was going to do in La Ceiba. Overall the people, town, and school in Siguatepeque is one of my favorite memories of the trip." Katie Scott, Intern
"I did not speak any Spanish upon arrival to the school. After attending for one month, though not fluent, I could speak enough Spanish to function in a public setting. My teacher was not only an awesome teacher but has become a close friend whom I visit at her home on a regular basis. Would recommend the school to anyone and the town is indeed clean, safe and quaint." Melissa Harvill, Missionary
