Our FocusOur focus is to bring Spanish language learning into your home or co-op in a unique and fresh way. To ensure that the students are able to both understand and speak Spanish, we implement an immersion (Spanish-only) program. A group class of students is able to join together to meet with their Spanish teachers at the schedule of their choosing.
Many parents worry that their students will not retain their language learning, but through diversified instruction that is tailored to the students' interests, we will give them the best chance possible at becoming fluent in Spanish.

Established in 2010, the Spanish Institute of Honduras was created with the mission of providing quality language learning for learners at a variety of levels. Whether you are preparing to live in Latin America or simply aiming to communicate with Spanish-speakers, you will be pushed and encouraged to reach your goals at SIH. |
OUR CLASSES Our suggested group size is two to five students, or a co-op of ten students. We also suggest that you meet online two hours a week to reach a 40-hour semester. Independent work is given throughout the week.
OUR INSTRUCTORSOur teachers are well-trained and experienced in Second-Language Instruction, some with over 15 years of teaching experience. They strive to see you succeed in your Spanish learning, no matter the setting or situation.
OUR ADMINISTRATORSOur administrators work closely with the parents to make sure the scheduling and content of the class is aligned with the students' needs. They aim to be flexible and adaptable. They themselves learned Spanish as a second language!
OUR SCHOOLThe Institute is located in Siguatepeque, Honduras, a bustling small city surrounded by lush mountains. Students will have the opportunity to visit after completing their studies.
Our curriculum follows the format that is typical to Spanish education in U.S. public schools, but we include personalization according to the students' levels and needs.
We recommend grouping the students by their closest age and ability levels. They will have a placement interview upon entrance if they have background Spanish knowledge. We have two formats of curriculum, one at an elementary level, and one for middle and high schoolers. Parents may join in with their students! |
