ABOUT US

The Spanish Institute of Honduras was founded by a Camino Global missionary in 2010. The school was created with the intention of serving evangelical missionaries, preparing them for the mission field with language and cultural training. Since then, the school has grown to serve families in or from 20 different countries. 

CHRISTIAN FOUNDATIONS

Our owners and administrators came to Honduras from the US for different callings, but all ended up at SIH through their passion for helping people. The majority of our in-person students are missionaries preparing to go to the field. They are supported in their transition with Bible study groups, cultural events, and counseling. For our homeschool students, we offer a study abroad opportunity, in which they can come to learn the culture, practice language, and complete service projects with local missions. 

WE LOVE TO LEARN!

Teaching and learning are our passions! All of our team is deeply committed to learning and growing. Our teachers continue to grow their skills with continued training. We also aim to help the students in every way possible so that they feel they are really interacting with the language!
We feel accomplished when our students reach two goals in particular: mastering the Spanish language, and becoming part of our family! We deeply invest in and care for everyone that is able to study Spanish with us.
